Hi, I’m
Amanda Barber.
I’m the founder and creative behind Oaken Co, a story and digital creative studio based in Roseville, CA.
I work with businesses on the pieces people see and experience, from founder stories, branding, photography, and social content to websites, custom builds, and digital tools.
It sounds like a lot of different things, but to me they are all part of the same job: helping a business communicate who it is clearly and making sure the experience matches the story.
Why this work matters
A good business shouldn’t feel smaller online than it does in real life.
That is the problem I kept noticing.
The owners knew their work. Their customers loved them. There was personality, history, and usually a really good reason the business existed in the first place. Then you looked online and half of that disappeared.
The website might be outdated. Social media might feel random. The visuals might not match anymore. Or everything could technically look fine but still tell you almost nothing about the people behind it.
Oaken exists because I found a passion for helping businesses close that gap.
I want people to land on your website, watch your story, scroll through your content, or interact with something we built and feel like they actually understand the business on the other side of the screen.

Then I map what needs to change, build the visible pieces, and either hand it off cleanly or help you figure out how to keep it going.
